This is one of those odd questions that has 2 answers:

The Bally pinball  machine that was to be used in Tommy was called The Wizard.   However during the Pinball Wizard sequence, the song says "I thought I was the Bally table king..." but both Tommy and The Champ are playing machines from D. Gottlieb & Co., not Bally.

I feel that it is important to remember, that Chang and Eng were just the first conjoined twins to come to the public eye.

The fact is up until the late 1800's/early 1900's children born with deformities were locked away from veiw and often left to die from starvation. Most did not live past a few days after birth because of this practice or lack of medical attention.  Often the mother was told it had been a still birth.  At a time when many children did not live past the age of five, there was little questioning.
