Celloid tape
in a black box,
which film is this?
It isn't marked.
I slip it in the VCR,
and suddenly
there you are...
my breath catches,
my heart hitches,
I feel the ache anew;
as from the television screen you speak.
I know I can click stop,
but I can't.
I stare at
the frozen in time,
for-ever young,
animated
celloid copy
of  you.
I taste the salt of tears
upon my tongue,
as I listen to what you say,
the words you use
don't matter,
just hearing
your voice again.
I miss you, baby boy,
I guess that you know.
That is why you let me find
this  visit
on a video.
