6 medium carrots
1/4 t salt
2 tbl butter
1/4 t crushed dried basil
1 oz dry white wine
fresh parsley for garnish
wash, peel, and slice carrots (bias cut, 1/4 inch)
melt butter in large skillet
add carrots, sprinkle with basil and salt
add wine
when mixture starts to bubble, cover, lower heat, and simmer untill liquid is gone and carrots are tender, but not mushy.
Garnish with parsley
