In a bowl, toss apples with sugar and 1/4 tsp. cinnamon. Place in an ungreased 8in square microwave dish. Sprinkle with water. In another bowl, combine the flour,brown sugar, salt, and remaining cinnamon; cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples. Microwave for 10 to 12 minutes on high until apples are tender. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream while warm.
