3 Paws started out in 2000 on MSN as a chatroom, on the corner of Peers and Public. Back then we seemed to attract many service people from all Nations; Army, Airforce, Navy, or Marines - you name it they were present both active and retired, as well as the everyday joe. We offered good clean chat and a lot of cyber booze lol The doors opened at 7pm cst, and often didn't close until way past midnight.
2003 - MSN decided to close public chats and forced us to move into the 'group' rooms or close. The group wanted to stay together so we moved into 'Groups'... and that is where I cut my digital art 'teeth' as it were. OMG...what I put the group through as I tried this and that , learning all by trial and error - lol!
3 Paws offered many 'firsts':
2004: Trespauze Manor - a virtual haunted house open to the public .(Yes, it's been moved and rebuilt over the years - but it still stands.)
2005: Multiple Group posting challanges
2006: re-offered public chat hosting over 300 chatters from multiple 'groups' in a single weekend on MSN.
Introduced live internet djs playing your requests in the chatroom every weekend.
2009: MSN disbanned groups closing them in February of that year. Finding us a new home wasn't easy, but everyone pitched in. I think we looked at over 500 sites, and I ended up using my 'Chinese Menu' and Merge Method. (I like this from there, and that form here...oh! And how about -) . Some managers because of health issues, or time constraints had asked not that I helped to rebuild them their own homes but adopt their groups. Didi's Dungeon, Coffee and Friends,40s & 50s Canadian Den, and The Dartboard, were a few of those groups. If anyone still has contacts from their old groups, point them here !
