Had a rough weekend. My friend arrived in town and she ended up staying with me for a couple of days. Had two funerals to attend also. I'm so glad this weekend is done. The only good thing out of this was that I got to spend some time with my friend. I haven't seen her in a long time. I'm just sad that it had to be because of her brother passing away. :c(

Been a busy week.  Hubby been home since Monday night and with that and watching getting use to watching the baby I haven't been able to be here.  Hubby is gone for now so here I am.  Hope you all have a great weekend coming up.  It is cold here after beening in the 90's and raining.  We so need the rain but it came when this weekend is a big deal here.  We have a thing called "Rattlesnake" roundup with cookoffs, crafts, rattlesnakes, and loads of people from all over come here for that.  Too bad the weather isn't nice just for that.

Well off to finish the boards and then bed early for me.  yawn

Hi Everyone!
I started off doing the boards yesterday and then my computer went wonky! *sigh* It's an OLD dinosaur still running on windows 98. Anyhoo, thank goodness my hubby is a computer tech and he walked me through everything by phone and I'm online again! Whooo Hoooo! I tell ya, it was hard though. Lots of tears on my part. My being a computer idiot! LOL! He did his best and was ever so patient. I'm so blessed to have him. I was so stressed out fixing this old thing. LOL! I hate it when he's not here. That's what I was crying to him about. *giggles* Seems a bit silly now though. Anyhow, I'm back! LOL!

Not much happening here.  Keeping busy and out of trouble.  Tired of the deep freeze we've been living in.  Where is this global warming they keep talking about.  They say this has been the 3rd worst winter in history.  Everyone here is getting grumpy already..lol
Rick and Devon are going to lay a laminate flooring down at my Mom's today and tomorrow we have a birthday party to go to...for the 6 year old grand daughter.
My son in Calgary had a baby girl on Tuesday...he has yet to call me about it...oh well.

Debbie I am sooooo sorry your son hasn't yet called you about his babygirl, your granddaughter.........it has to be hard for you, but knowing you, you just go on.....

I wish someday your son, and my son, and anyones else who has this going on will realize they only have one MOM, and they need to before it is too late.......

Beanie I am sorry your feeling so down, I bet you do miss your hubby.........it saddens me how lonely you are, YOU wouldn't be lonely if I lived there........NOWAY!!!  I think in the next 2 years I just have to meet you and Didi.....I think I will make that my next project......a visit to Canada........sounds good to me!

Been a busy day, about an hour and a half before the baby was to be picked up I couldn't do anything to satisfy her and it made me sad.  I hope she and I have a better day tomorrow.........just love that lil one.  Hubby just called he will be home for 3 days so if I am again not on here that will be why.........

BEAN'ette, it's ok to be down now and then, and to even post about it.  Heck, look us up in chat and airiate in real time, even.  That's what friends are for. Not just for the giggles and grins, but for the thunder cloud days too.

Not sure what's up with your sons, Trish and Didi - but you know sometimes Mom has to pick up the phone too.   Even if it means getting hung up on in some cases.  At least then you know you keep opening the door for a relationship.

Val what is going on with my son is he is my oldest, haven't seen him in over 2 years, he is in the military but he makes sure he see his (not real) dad but not me.  He won't answer my calls, doesn't call me, so I don't know what else to do but just be me.


That is all with my world in that......

Well, hubby is gone, son is at work, the baby was picked up at 11 am, didn't have her 5 year old brother, just have the 3 year old now and it seems sooooo peaceful!

Hi Everyone!
Our bathroom is done! Whooooo Hoooooo! LOL! We had to get the wall behind the shower fixed because of a leak. So I decided to get a new tub surround. You know how once you touch one thing, you need to do another... well it's done! I can finally take a shower in my own home instead of my sisters! LOL!

Welll...it's been some week. Way too stressful for me. Stuff has happened that's been a long time coming.  Maybe it's for the best...dunno.  Family stuff, my mom, sister, brother..etc.  I quess you could pretty much say that since my dad died, I've been pushed out of the family.  Dad is who held us all together.  Had a talk with my mom on Tuesday, still have more to say but needless to say, there will be no more holiday get togethers at my mom's for me.  I still will be seeing my mom..just not when anyone else is there.  Next week I'll be going there to wallpaper her livingroom.  A lot of mixed emotions are going thru my head right now...I really do miss my Dad.  This stuff wouldn't never have happened if he was still here.
Enough about that..
Still haven't got all my trim and baseboards up...something always seems to come up when we want to work on them.  Hopefully this weekend.
Beanie, I'm glad your bathroom is done.  I know what it's like not to be able to shower.  That happened to me a couple of years ago when I re-did my bathroom.  Bathing  in the kitchen sink just isn't the same..lol

Hope your feeling better now Trish since you spoke with your son.

Didi I am sorry your family is putting you through that.  It is not my whole family, just my son.  I hope everyone realizes just how bad they are treating everyone and it gets better.


I wished I knew what is wrong with people but you just never know.  The saying you always hurt the ones you love.........it is so right on!

Glad you talked with your son Trish. Maybe things might get a bit better now that he knows how you feel.
I was busy volunteering all day today. The daycare had it's annual  winter carnival and my cousin works there. So she asked me to help them out. All I remember of the whole thing is how LOUD kids can be! LOL! I left there this evening with a headache. LOL!

I had a fantastic day. I spent the whole day with my best friend. We shopped, got our nails done (first time I got gel nails and a french manicure), went out to dinner then caught a movie. The ne Julia Roberts flick. I wasn't too crazy about it though. Now I'm beat! LOL! Night all!
